Meeting on Asteroids and Comets in Europe
MACE 2006 - May 12-14 - Vienna, Austria
General Information
The scientific programme at MACE 2006 will consist of three parts:
- Invited talks
- Oral presentations
- Poster presentations
- Workshops and practice
The duration of oral presentations is limited to 15 minutes (plus 5 minutes discussion),
and to 30 minutes (plus 10 minutes discussion) for invited talks, and 60 minutes (total)
for workshops.
The deadline for submitting talks or workshops for MACE 2006 ended on April 15, 2006. Contributions
in the form of posters, however, may be submitted at any later time. Please use the
online registration form to
do so.
Available Equipment
The following equipment is available to support presentations:
- Beamer, 1024 x 768
- Overhead projector
- Slide projector
- Video recorder VHS
- DVD player
- Local computer
- 100 MBit Internet Connection
- Microphone
- Power 230 V / 50 Hz
We kindly ask the speakers to bring their presentations on CD-ROM or USB stick,
as we plan to copy the presentations to the local computer before each session,
to avoid technical interruptions between the individual presentations. As a backup,
it is possible to connect your own laptop to the beamer, of course.
Posters
Presentations of posters are welcome. Poster dimensions should not exceed the
A1-format. The posters will be fixed by tapes. Material for affixing the posters
will be available at the registration office. A psoter session is schedules for
Firday afternoon.
Proceedings
Proceedings of the meeting will be published in form of a pdf document at the MACE web
site some time after the meeting. The deadline for submission of papers is September 30,
2006. Details on the required format will be sent directly to the contributors. For
those authors who wish to publish their paper in a refereed journal, we can arrange
submisson to the "Contributions of the Astronomical
Observatory Skalnate Pleso".
